MELDRUM is an international, hard rock metal band formed in 1999 by Michelle Meldrum. The band has toured worldwide with Motörhead, Black Label Society, Sepultura and many others. On May 21, 2008 Michelle Meldrum passed away as a result of a cystic growth on her brain. She had just completed writing and recording Meldrum's third album LIFER. Touting a combination of mammoth vocal styles with aggressively melodic vocals, mind bending guitar riffs, and a rhythm section that creates fiercely bombastic grooves giving MELDRUM a new unique, cutting edge sound. MELDRUM continues on in 2009 in tribute to their fallen bandmate. The new lineup include metal vocalist Michele Madden (Tourettes), Gene Hoglan (Strapping Young Lad, Dethklok, Fear Factory, Testament, Death, Dark Angel) on drums, Laura Christine (Warface, Damnation) on guitar, and Frida Ståhl on bass.
